Leeds Word On The Tweet

“Yes please”, “Heard it all before” – These Leeds fans react as “good” deal edges closer

A few Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after ESPN reported that Qatar Sports Investments’ takeover of the club outfit is edging closer.

The Qatar state investment company – which owns Paris Saint-Germain – are believed to have been in talks with United for a while and recent discussions have been positive, after previous negotiations dragged on when it appeared an agreement had been reached.

QSI have a well-established relationship with our owner Andrea Radrizzani, who is very close friends with PSG President and Chairman of QSI Nasser al-Khelaifi after working on several television deals in the past.

More talks between the two parties are said to be scheduled for the coming days as things move in a positive direction, although a deal is not expected to be fully concluded soon.

Radrizzani is being tough in negotiations over his asking price for Leeds, which he paid €45million (£38.5m) for in 2017. Two other potential buyers are also claimed to be in talks with the Whites hierarchy.

QSI have looked into purchasing Queens Park Rangers, as well, but see United as a more appealing option with the allure of Premier League football potentially being in our future and the prize money that comes with it.

Should Radrizzani sell to QSI?

Absolutely
