Can Leeds just sign a centre back already?
There are only so many players fans can talk about before something finally gets over the line. Here’s the latest one.
Przeglad Sportowy are reporting that Arsenal’s young Polish defender Krystian Bielik is willing to quit Arsenal, with his chances of first-team football seemingly remote. Bielik spent last season on loan at Charlton and scored a vital goal against Doncaster in the second leg of their playoff semi-final.
Since Pontus Jansson left the club, there has been a clamouring among Leeds United supporters for the club to sign a centre back, and it looks as if their eyes have fallen upon the young Pole. So when the news came out that he wants to leave the Emirates, United fans took straight to Twitter to show their desire to be the ones to sign him.
Was clearly better than League One last season and was MOTM in the play-off final so the step up won’t really be that big a deal imo. Perfect player for the way we play and Bielsa/Orta should be all over this! #lufc #leeds #Bielik https://t.co/tBx5VNFq6W

Krystian Bielik would be a great signing. 6 ft 2 and can play both CB & defensive midfield

We have a few quality Polish players at #lufc already. Maybe @Cli5hy can put in a good word with both Bielik regarding the club and Bielsa about the player ???? #alaw

Whilst there has been no concrete link suggesting that Bielik is on the radar of the Leeds management or board, if the Elland Road faithful can make enough noise, it could be enough to get their attention. That’s what happened with the Helder Costa signing announcement, so it’s not impossible.
