Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe largely set the Championship on fire in the 2018/19 campaign as he chipped in with 15 goals and two assists under the charge of manager Marcelo Bielsa.
It was a disappointing end to the year for the 26-year-old though as we failed in our bid for Wembley in the Play-Off Semi-Finals, but despite that frustration, there were certainly positives to take from the year.
26-year-old Roofe may have had a better season had injury not got in the way given the barren run he had on a goalscoring front in the second half of the season, and the player took to social media to send the fans a message last week.
Bad ending to a good story????
Thank you for all the support this season, it truly as been special and can never be forgotten! ???????????? #LUFC #MOT @ Elland Road Football Stadium https://t.co/pILVU7JTl1— Kemar Roofe (@roofe) May 16, 2019
The Tweet is innocuous enough for me, but some fans certainly read into it and took it as an indication as to his own personal future next year, believing it to be his goodbye from the club.
This message sounds like your jumping off our old ship and onto a new Yacht, great player all the best ????

Pretty sure he's not. Never signed that new deal did he. I can imagine a lower PL team taking a chance on him.
