It was a mixed 2018 for Leeds United in reality, there were struggles and disappointment in the first half of the year but that largely changed as soon as manager Marcelo Bielsa rocked up at Elland Road.

It took him a little bit of time to get his feet under the table, but we ironed out most of the issues over pre-season and then hit the Championship campaign running, spend the second half of the year so far sitting pretty in top spot, or at least near the top of the table as we had a few injury inflicted wobbles and the odd bad day at the office.

Christmas Day is almost with us, and I wish readers of Vital Leeds the very best and I hope Santa brings you and yours exactly what you were after and then you have a cracking New Year’s.

Bielsa and the players can make 2019 special though and I’m sure on all fans’ wishlist is the word promotion.

Perform in the second half of the campaign how we have so far, and we’ll more than be up there and in the mix come next May and that would be the best Christmas present for everyone.
