Leeds United manager Dennis Wise has told of his delight at yet another victory, and explains in a little more detail “that incident” between the two teams’ coaching staff.

Speaking to the official Leeds United website Leedsunited.com, the boss said: “We were all pleased we got the result we deserved,”

“It was an entertaining game and it was nice to get the three points.

“I was pleased for Tres because has done very well. So has Jermaine Beckford. They’re both electric at the moment.

“The team are doing very well and we’re chuffed, but I’ve said before and will carry on saying it, we have to keep performing and not let our standards slip.”

Turning to more disappointing matters, Wise spoke of his confusion as to just what started a confrontation between the coaching staff of both sides with Leeds managers past and present going forehead to forehead after the final whistle:

“I don’t think Kevin wanted to shake my hand unfortunately.” “I asked if he had a problem and he told me in a kind of way to ‘something off’.”

Concluding his views on the Luton boss and his comedy first team coach, the ex-Chelsea and Millwall midfielder could not have put it any better:

“Obviously emotions were very high for him, but if you don’t get the result you want, you don’t spit your dummy out in front of everyone.”
