Leeds boss Dennis Wise moved to praise his players today, after a great win against fellow relegation battlers Hull City last night.
A stunning free kick from Alan Thompson was the difference as Leeds made their points total look a tad better. The downside however is that we slipped to last place due to Southend’s shock win at Birmingham City, a team with no pitch and who are starting to look shaky!
Wisey said:
‘We’ve got 13 injuries and I was proud of the players. It’s pleasing to see the people who came in and did well.’
The injuries are a major talking point and currently not set to get any better. With Flo and Healy out the character of the team will really be tested. It was however nice to see the team react to going in at half time 1-1 after a late first half goal.
