Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell could do with the funds, and says he is unsure about the future of Eirik Bakke and Liam Miller. Will he sell players in the transfer window in January to fund his new signings?

Norway international Bakke has been on loan at Premiership side Aston Villa this season, playing nine matches, and Blackwell claims no permanent deal is in place for when the midfielder’s loan deal ends next month. And on-loan Republic of Ireland midfielder Miller’s future has also not been decided.

Leeds’ agreement with the Manchester United player, once dubbed the new Roy Keane, is also due to expire in January and Blackwell does not know if he will return to Old Trafford then.

Blackwell said: ‘Nothing has been decided at the moment about Bakke.

‘All the parties involved will take view of the situation in January and we’ll make a decision on Miller once I speak to Sir Alex (Ferguson).’
