Why it`s time for Vieira to start this weekend

We`ve got a good chance to fan the lingering flame that is our top six hopes this weekend.

It`s not been a good 2018 so far for us, that`s for sure, but with Sunday being our first game at Elland Road with Paul Heckingbottom in charge, now is as good a time as any to get back to winning ways.

Coming into it, too, Bristol City are hardly looking in the best form with them having one win to their name in this calendar year and so there`s a good chance we can close the gap to them to five points.

To achieve that, though, it`s time for Ronaldo Vieira to start in midfield after we lacked the bite and tenacity he brings against Sheffield United last weekend.

We`ve got a lot of midfield options at the moment, of course, and I think Adam Forshaw in particular looks to be a good addition, but few in the squad bring the extra quality that young Ronaldo brings.

Discipline wise, he`s sometimes let us down – who hasn`t this year? – but with a manager like ‘Hecky` in charge and with his youth record, Vieira could become a key player once more.

He`s got all the ability and x factor to get us out of this rut and now appears the best time for him to come back into the side.

Our poll asks – Should Vieira be restored to the starting line-up?
