It’s always interesting to see where we compare to the other sides in the Championship in terms of finances and it appears we’re fairly strong.

Most clubs in the second tier have rich owners these days with the idea that getting promotion to the Premier League will be worth all the investment.

Andrea Radrizzani will certainly be looking to see that happen this season, then, with us starting well – despite the loss at the weekend.

The Italian is pretty flush, too, but when you look at Aston Villa’s apparent clout he is perhaps dwarfed somewhat.

In a list compiled by Bristol Live, we are apparently under an owner worth a cool £450,000,000 which is certainly a serious figure.

Villa, though, are at the top of the EFL financial tree – despite their summer woes – with their ownership apparently worth £8,100,000,000.

That’s the sort of money in the Championship, now, but at least we’re getting more bang for our buck right now than them.
