When A Plan Comes Together

Robbie Blake says the time spent on the training ground brought success last weekend.

The 29-year-old says the well-worked free-kick that gave the Whites their opening goal in the 2-1 win was far from being ‘just luck’.

Blake took the Foxes’ defensive wall out of the equation by passing the ball sideways to Healy, who made no mistake from the edge of the area to notch his third goal in four games.

Blake told the club’s official website: ‘Dave’s goal was different class but it was well-worked out. It’s something we’ve been working on and it paid off for us.

‘It’s very satisfying when something like than does come off, it’s a long season and we’ll need more of them if we’re to keep up the pace.’
