A few Leeds United fans have been teasing Helder Costa on social media, after the winger shared a selection of snaps of himself in action against Hull City from Tuesday night’s win.
The Tigers travelled to Elland Road looking to bring a stop to our six-game winning streak, but would leave West Yorkshire with their tails between their legs after losing 2-0 as we moved atop the Championship standings.
West Bromwich Albion’s draw with Wigan Athletic on Wednesday night has now placed the Baggies behind Marcelo Bielsa’s men on goal difference, with just one goal all that now separates the two sides.
Costa played a fair role in our midweek win over Grant McCann’s Hull, despite not scoring or assisting either of our two strikes, as the one-time Portugal international attempted three shots and four dribbles before being replaced by Pascal Struijk in stoppage-time.
Pablo Hernandez attempted the most dribbles of any United player on Tuesday night with seven, per WhoScored data, but the Spaniard could only complete one more than Costa, having beat opposing players with five of his attempts.
Costa also played a joint-game-high two key balls against the Tigers, as he found a teammate with 25 of his 36 passes. The £32,500-per-week forward failed to score at Elland Road, though, as two of his three shots were off target while a sole effort was blocked.

The 25-year-old struck his first Championship goal for the club against Middlesbrough at the end of November, following his second assist of the campaign when he created Jack Harrison’s winning effort away to Reading.
