Leeds United goalkeeper Jamal Blackman made his full debut for the club in Tuesday’s EFL Cup clash with Bolton Wanderers.
Having come in over the summer from Chelsea on a season-long loan the 24-year-old has had to be patient for his chance with the general form of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, but as expected manager Marcelo Bielsa made changes for the First Round tie and Blackman got his shot at impressing the fans.
And he did just that in the 2-1 victory as we booked our place in the Second Round draw and he was happy to take to social media to talk about his delight at picking up the result and to express his thanks to the fans for their support, in numbers, on the evening.
Great performance in the cup last night ☺️ Fans were great 🙌🏾 onto the next round and this weekend #mot pic.twitter.com/uLnfU0HpfM

A number of Leeds fans responded in kind with praise being shown back.
Well played last night, good luck for the rest of the season, you could be part of something very special, as a life long Leeds fan I really hope so ????

There was certainly plenty more of where that came from, but Blackman did choose an interesting image to send the message with, and that caught some talk of its own for different reasons.
Great shot , look who is there waiting for the throw out , man of the match KP .

Not knocking it, quality attendance for a midweek cup game. Just a bad image choice for that caption.
