Leeds United got their pre-season off to a bang in midweek as we took a pre-season victory over York City, and fans got their first chance to lay eyes on new signing Liam McCarron as he took to the pitch for his non-competitive debut.
Having come in from Carlisle United earlier in the summer transfer window, the highly rated 18-year-old winger was one of ten changes in the game as manager Marcelo Bielsa shared the match minutes around and given the reaction to his performance on social media, it’s easy to think we’ll soon see him again as we continue preparing for the 2019/20 Championship campaign.
We won 5-0 on the night with Jack Harrison helping himself to a brace and further goals coming from Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw, but the youngster certainly caught the eye and taking to social media after the game to comment on his delight at making his bow, plenty of fans sent praise in his direction.
Well done pal, well earned from last season.
Let's see you get plenty game time this season ????????
