Having been announced as the latest signing only yesterday, Jack Harrison got straight down to business in preparation for his second season at the club.
Having played such a crucial part for Leeds United last season, chipping in four goals and four assists as they finished third in the league, he’s already taking the steps to replicate that form again.
When United released a video from his first training session, showing him scoring a wonderful volley on the run, it certainly started off a bit of a debate amongst the Leeds United fans on Twitter.
Whilst what he did might be seen as impressive by some fans, there were a lot more Leeds supporters that weren’t all that keen on it. They pointed out that it’s all well and good doing these things in training against no defenders, but unless he manages to pull it off in a game, it doesn’t really count for all that much.
Let’s hope we play against teams with 1 at the back

We saw something similar with bamford on the training ground. Nowhere near replicated on the pitch

It’s ok doing it in training with nobody marking him we need to see a lot more than that from him this season ???????? #MOT

Why couldn’t he have done that from 4 yards out against Derby ????
— Tim Lawless (@timlaw88) July 1, 2019
Why did he never ever do that in any Leeds game last season. !!! ???

Whilst it is only training, you never know when the opportunity to use it might come up in a game. I mean, how many times do you reckon Tony Yeboah did this against no defenders before he got to do it for real?
