“We Have The Ambition” – Leeds Assistant Gaffer Sends Derby A Warning

|

With Leeds United’s automatic promotion hopes coming to an end in recent weeks, we get a deserved second bite at the Premier League cherry as we prepare for the upcoming Play-Off Semi-Final battles with Derby County.

It’s been a good week for assistant manager Carlos Corberan as on Monday afternoon he led his Under 23 charges to Professional Development League National Championship success as we took a penalty victory over Birmingham City in the Final, but he now quickly turned his attentions back to this coming Saturday’s clash at Pride Park against Frank Lampard’s side.

The aim will be to take victory and get ourselves back to winning ways to make the second leg far more comfortable back on Elland Road soil, and we all know given Spygate and the way we’ve handed them their backsides this year, the match will have an undercurrent and be quite tasty.

Speaking to lutv this week, Corberan said of the upcoming game.

“Our mind is only on here, now we know that we are going to face Derby in the playoffs. We are going to prepare very well for the game, we are going to prepare our minds, we are going to prepare our style to continue showing what we are able to do. So now we’re looking forward to the next game, we only want this moment to arrive because we have the ambition to try and make history this year with Leeds United.”
