Well, we’ve nearly had a weekend without a manager but I seem to think that next weekend we might know who’s going to be in charge next season.
The Whites, of course, sacked Paul Heckingbottom at the end of last week and rumours have been rife over who might come in to replace him.
Indeed, Marcelo Bielsa seems to be the most prominent link right now and that would certainly put the cat among the pigeons if he was to sign.
And, as per Phil Hay on Twitter, it looks as though talks are underway and there is actually interest from both parties:
a response from Bielsa’s representative. Says the “conversation (with Leeds) is in progress.” Clearly interested.

How many training sessions do you think it will take for him to say I am a good coach but I cannot work miracles

A part of me is excited, but yet I fear how the aggressive Argentinian style will fit with the Italians. Could see it implode before christmas. We could be in for a wild ride.

Good to have a big name on the door for the start of the season but going nowhere and another chapter in the “seasons to forget book” unless matched with the twin track approach of serious investment

Do you think he will have some kind of translator with him if he comes on board Phil?I heard he’s little to no English

The Verdict
What an appointment this would be.
I know he can be a bit of a livewire at times and lose his cool but he’s seen as one of the best coaches around so it would be a real statement if we could somehow bring him in.
