Leeds United’s trip to Queens Park Rangers and Loftus Road in the third round of the FA Cup was given a Sunday kickoff last week.
With manager Marcelo Bielsa’s side looking to bounce back from Nottingham Forest disappointment in particular, the day didn’t exactly go to plan.
The hosts took the lead through a 23rd minute penalty and although Aapo Halme levelled matters up two minutes later, with 15 left to play in the game, they took a 2-1 lead and that was where the scoring on the day ended and so did our hopes for an FA Cup run this season.
It’s now three defeats on the spin for the side with back to back Championship losses, so the focus is getting back to winning ways as soon as possible to give everyone a lift again. Derby County won’t be an easy game, but on the Elland Road turf with the fans in full voice we’ll have to use that to our advantage.
