Leeds United’s tie at Elland Road against Brentford in the final Championship game before yet another pointless international break certainly had its talking points.
???? | “I think the penalty was harsh" #LUFC midfielder Adam Forshaw reflects on today's game at Elland Road

Now fair’s fair, it wasn’t a great performance by our usual standards, but even then we dominated possession and had exactly the same number of chances overall as the visitors did. As is now a common theme though, a lack of a clinical nature almost cost us a point on the day, as they mustered seven changes on goal whilst we only managed three.
???? | "It was tough not to win this game" We caught up with #LUFC defender Pontus Jansson following today's 1-1 draw against Brentford
— Leeds United (@LUFC) October 6, 2018
With that said, they needed the referee to make one of the dodgiest penalty awards in history to take the lead and I think Pontus Jansson’s celebration to his equaliser, and especially ‘that’ interview post-game summed up the feelings of many fans about the performance of the officials on the day.
Adam Forshaw’s interview above is simply calmer than Pontus’ in my humble.

We aren't allowed to be promoted. We are the best thing the EFL could ever have wished for. Every referee will have been told to do everything they can to prevent us winning promotion.

That means the EFL will have him penciled in for the next few Leeds matches.

Wasn't harsh it was a dive

Harsh lol. Referee wants hanging.

Pontus had it right

As the above demonstrates, that wasn’t going to stop fans from airing their views following the game and nor should it.
