Water Thing to Happen!

Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday have borne the brunt of the recent bad weather that has hit the United Kingdom, with their pitch currently completely submerged under near enough 12 feet of water.

The start of the new Championship season is well over a month away yet, however the damage caused by the flooding may mean that the pitch is damaged beyond repair. The impromptu swimming pool has also caused all departments within the football club to close for the time being as the stadium has been left without power or telephone lines.

It is however rumoured that senior management may use this event as a PR exercise, encouraging Wednesday fans who have never visited Hillsborough to ‘dip their toe in the water’ this season.
