With Saturday’s hugely disappointing defeat to Sheffield United at Elland Road, Leeds United duo Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts were quick to take to social media following the game to send messages to the faithful.

A 1-0 defeat on the day was incredibly harsh on Leeds as their winner was the only registered shot on target and we utterly dominated possession and chances again, but our lack of a clinical edge was our undoing.

Social media was full of over the top criticism following the game and I’m ignoring that as we knew there would be twists and turns and this was a game we didn’t deserve to lose, and there were positives.

So with the criticisms being over the top and unfortunately par for the course in the modern world of social media and entitled expectations when it comes to football, I’m focusing on the positives and so were most of the fans who took the time to respond to the duo.
