There’s been a report in the Sun of late suggesting that Scott McTominay is a player that Manchester United are willing to let go of.

Apparently, the Red Devils are open to letting him leave on loan with him barely playing under Jose Mourinho this season despite breaking through a fair bit last year.

Why should this news be of interest to us, then? Well, it’s because apparently the Whites have been interested in a potential loan deal involving the midfielder.

A hard-working and fairly energetic presence in the middle of the park, he might do well under Marcelo Bielsa given the energy-sapping approach we take.

Certainly, we need other options just to boost our squad and he’d be a decent one – despite his obvious Old Trafford links.

For me, we shouldn’t go for him over other midfield targets, though, but what do you think? Let me know in the poll below…
