Last seasons Player of the Year Shaun Derry has told the official site of his frustration at having to watch football rather than play it, due to the Achilles injury that he picked up in December.

Since the game at Stoke, Derry has played just once in 2007, coming on as a substitute and Derry is hopeful that he will be back soon.

“I’m looking at building up a bit of fitness now. I’m a naturally fit guy so hopefully it won’t take too long to build up a base fitness.
‘I’ll battle through it and hopefully play some games?
?The crowd have been remarkable, hopefully we can look to them to spur us on.’
