It’s quite clear already that a media rumour mill favourite this summer is the future of Leeds United striker Kemar Roofe and rather predictably, Aston Villa are now linked with having an interest.
With his deal expiring next summer, our top goalscorer from 2018/19 is yet to pen a new deal and there’s plenty of speculation doing the rounds when it comes to how much he may be holding out for. With Leeds failing in the battle to return to the Premier League, Play-Off promotion winners Aston Villa have already been linked with a swoop on Kalvin Phillips, and now it’s the turn of 26-year-old Roofe according to one report that gained some traction over the weekend.
More than anything it just leans on Villa having an interest because their chances of signing loanee Tammy Abraham look to be incredibly slim this summer, as well as his contract situation but other than that there’s little concrete information supplied.
Fans will simply have to get used to reports like this, unfortunately.
