Its been a pretty miraculous season for Carlos Corberan’s Under 23 side at Leeds United as the campaign of 2018/19 saw us not only clinch the Professional Development League (north) title as we took top spot with games to spare, but we also made it to the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup (losing out to Newcastle United).

On Monday evening, we were back in action in the PDL National Cup Final and found ourselves matched up with south winners, Coventry City.

With goals from Robbie Gotts and Ryan Edmondson in normal time, but Coventry hitting back on both occasions, it took a Kun Temenuzhkov effort in extra time to hand us the victory.

With the fantastic season Edmondson has had, it was a small surprise to see him on the bench but the 17-year-old simply did what he does when he was brought onto the pitch and bagged his 19th goal of the season – so naturally fans were again raving about him and hoping to see more of him in the first team soon enough.
