Leeds United have built a strong run of form over the course of recent matches, with Saturday’s win over Sheffield United marking a third victory in a row.
The Peacocks remain just a single point behind leaders Norwich City after Pablo Hernandez netted the only goal of the game against the Blades to ensure all three points were brought back to Elland Road.
It was a hard-fought match for the Peacocks, who faced a very physical test from Chris Wilder’s side, but Marcelo Bielsa can be pleased with the overall efforts from his squad and fans on social media picked out one member of the defence for specific praise.
20-year-old Aapo Halme made only his second Championship appearance for the club after coming on as a substitute following Liam Cooper’s injury but barely put a foot wrong, keeping former Leeds striker Billy Sharp in his pocket throughout.
That was certainly something that fans enjoyed and there was plenty of praise for the youngster after the game. We have gathered some of the responses below.
Massive for Halme to come on in that game. Chuffed for him.

An unsung hero today was young Halme. Came on to replace Captain Cooper with Leeds under pressure early in the game. He put in a big shift to see us through. #mot

Really pleased for Aapo Halme. Not an easy baptism for him, but stayed strong. We'll done fella! Also great pressing from young Clarke… that name does ring a bell from somewhere!? ????#Lufc

Word for Halme who was far from the best player on the pitch but could have easily crumbled under the pressure of a derby and didn't. Saw off Sharp for the most part #lufc

A few more games for the first team, and tighten up on his passing and clearances and that apo Halme looks to be a real talent,
He was a rock most of the game today, especially against billy sharp, who can be a pain! (Especially against Leeds)#LUFC #MOT

Can’t tell you how impressed I was with Halme today, he was unreal. Big game, getting subbed on against a good attacking side. #lufc

Just a little mention for Aapo Halme ???? if you're going to demonstrate that you can make the step up, that's the way to do it
