Leeds United secured a much-needed victory over Reading on Tuesday evening in a result that puts them right near the top of the Championship.
After slipping to third prior to the international break after losing to West Brom, back-to-back victories over Bristol City and Reading have put the Peacocks back in second spot after Norwich City and Middlesbrough could only draw their respective midweek matches.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side now sit just one point behind the Canaries and occupy one of the two automatic promotion spots, putting Leeds in a solid position heading into the busy festive period that lies ahead.
Plenty of players earned plaudits after a hard-fought 1-0 victory against the Royals at Elland Road and special mentions went to Kemar Roofe, who has developed into a vital asset under Bielsa’s guidance so far this season.
While he was not on the scoresheet last night, Roofe put in a superb shift and plenty of fans took to social media to heap praise on the forward. We have gathered some of their comments below.
How good is Roofe now? Really growing under Bielsa.

Jaakkola making a top class save from Roofe. Heβs been a revelation since his return in most of his matches.

Re watched that game last night. You often see things clearer. Roofe is becoming some front man, Pablo never stopped running even on an average night. Cooper made two great tackles. Douglas run himself ragged. Dallas had a decent game, BPF immense.
