Leeds United forward Tore-Andre Flo has told of his delight of returning to League One action minus the pain that has continued to blight his relatively short time at the club.
Flo was used as a second half substitute on Sunday against Cheltenham, as Leeds fell to a 1-0 defeat despite having 21 shots on target, and a Jermaine Beckford goal ruled out for offside.
With just 7 appearances to his name in a Leeds United shirt, Flo has been limited to coming on from the bench since his first start for the club, a game in which he took just 3 minutes to score his first goal in the 3-2 defeat at home to West Brom last season.
Now the Norwegian is back in first team contention, he is looking to the future as he told leedsunited.com:
“Finally I play football without pain, it’s 10 months since I’ve done that and it was a big relief.
“It’s been a really long wait. I came back, but still had pain all along and had another operation.”
Flo’s return to the side as a 73rd minute substitute was however in vain, as United crashed to their second league defeat of the season, putting a further dent in what has so far been an impressive campaign for Dennis Wise’s men.
‘We were very disappointed with the result,’ said Tore.
‘We didn’t play particularly badly, we just didn’t get the goal to win the game.
