Eddis Lewis helped his Leeds United side climb out of the Championship bottom three with a clinical finish at Home Park.

Lewis beat the offside trap mid-way through the second half and cooly slotted the ball past the Argyle keeper.
The goal sent Leeds to their first away victory in the league since a 1-0 win at Hillsborough back in August.

Robbie Blake had stunned the Home Park crowd – who were expecting a win – with a third minute goal from a Lewis cut-back. It was his fifth goal in six matches.

With five minutes of the first half left, Bojan Djordic equalised with a back post header from Tony Capaldi free-kick.
But Lewis decided matters when he beat the offside trap and latched onto Moore’s pass to put the visitors in command.
Argyle did exert some heavy pressure towards the end of the match but their long ball game played into the hands of Leeds’ defence – who stood firm.

Leeds manager Dennis Wise praised U.S.A International Eddie Lewis’ preformance after the game:
‘He took his goal well and set up the first one for us,’ he said.’The result has brought a couple of other teams closer to us whom we can now try to catch.
