Ten men Leeds United went down to two late Adam Le Fondre goals at Reading who moved to the top of the championship with their win.

Youngster Zac Thompson was sent off for Leeds inside fifteen minutes for a rash tackle on Jobi McAnuff and Leeds faced a tough rear-guard fight for the remainder of the game.

Leeds looked like holding out until Le Fondre scored twice in the last six minutes.

Le Fondre came on for Noel Hunt with just twenty minutes remaining and he had already given Leeds a warning when he had a goal disallowed for offside.

His chested in his first goal from close range after Robson-Kanu had headed across goal and his second was another close range effort after a shot from Jason Roberts.

Despite having to defend for long periods, Leeds had their chances in the second half.

Ross McCormack saw his shot from distance clip the outside of the post and they should have gone ahead when Robert Snodgrass fired straight at Adam Federici after good work from McCormack.
