True To Bielsa’s Word, Roofe Completes Undisclosed Switch Out To Anderlecht

|

Following on from all the speculation linking 26-year-old Leeds United striker with a departure from Leeds United this week out to Vincent Kompany’s Anderlecht side, tonight it has been reported that the deal has now gone through.

It’s a disappointing move really given the improvement we’ve seen in him in recent years as he learned to lead the line and provide a good goal threat for us, but the former West Bromwich Albion Academy graduate moves for an undisclosed fee having scored 32 goals in 91 starts and 31 substitute showings.

As you can see from the above thread, plenty of fans were happy to wish him well after his efforts and I guess many know that the pull of Vincent Kompany was maybe an experience he couldn’t turn down given the Belgian’s career at the top of the game, but there is a massive natural disappointment and all eyes now turn to whether or not we suitably replace him.

All eyes to deadline day…
