Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips revealed this week that Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Gaetano Berardi had all returned to full group training recently.

All three had been out for a while and having come back this quickly, there is a possibility that they could come into head coach Marcelo Bielsa’s thoughts for the Blackburn Rovers game on October 20 – even if for that game as substitute options.

Phillips’ original words came from a Yorkshire Evening Post piece.

Earlier today though our Under 23 squad were back in action against Burnley, and for the sake of fullness, we played out a 2-2 draw.

What will interest fans greatly though is our second goal of the day went to Roofe and he featured in the starting XI alongside Berardi. Berardi got the full 90 minutes, and Roofe got through 70 minutes before being replaced, so good minutes for both on their return and that obviously boosts Blackburn hopes.
