Leeds United skipper Liam Cooper isn’t shy of taking to social media following games, regardless of the result. He continued that after the defeat to Birmingham City this week and his message on Monday certainly struck the right chord with the Elland Road faithful.
Having lost 2-1 on the day despite plenty feeling we should have taken at least a point from the game, Cooper’s Monday message was simple and in implying there were obviously some regrets from the game, his commitment to coming out stronger from the loss pleased plenty.
Tough one to take at the weekend. The best teams learn and come back fighting.. Hard work all week building to a massive game under the lights Friday night.. #MOT

To be honest, you wouldn’t expect a player to say otherwise, but in the modern world that kind of message and determination to improve always seems to come across better when it’s delivered in that kind of personal way as opposed to a club sanctioned post-game interview that’s more easily available to a national audience.
Been a great start to the season we will be behind you in our thousands on Friday night MOT

Wolves lost 9 games last season and still dominated the league, this will do us more good than harm. With your leadership @LiamCooper__ we’re gonna be fine this season, bring on Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night????????

A loss was bound to come eventually but it's how we bounce back that'll determine how our season will go. It's hard to keep to the high standards you lads have set. Keep at it.

Gutted to lose at weekend but good stats suggests we're going in the right direction. It's been a cracking start to the season, the unbeaten run was bound to end. We regroup and refocus.

Cooper knows he’s speaking to the core and they know he’s speaking to them on his own time.
The cherry on top is now a return to winning ways on Friday evening as we travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday.
