It has come to the attention of Vital Leeds that 4 of the 2,000 Leeds United supporters who visited KitKat Crescent yesterday were misbehaving in a similar fashion to the pitch invasion that marred the clubs Championship fixture against Ipswich Town.

However, the spirit of a pre-season friendly was not lost when the incident was reported by thisisyork.co.uk as it appears those who decided to encroach the playing surface were not intending any malice.

The article on the thisisyork.co.uk website states: ‘For Bartlett (on a trial from Blyth Spartans), his run-out proved a stern test of character in front of more than 2,000 Leeds fans, four of whom invaded the pitch during the evening, including a pair who decided to play a couple of one-twos between themselves as the City trialist prepared to take a goal-kick.’

Good to see that some people still have a sense of humour in football!
