Well, this is quite possibly a first.
It looks as if Leeds United fans have finally disagreed with head coach Marcelo Bielsa about something. Although, I don’t know why it’s taken them so long, I’ve been disagreeing with Bielsa for some time now. Looks like I was just early to the party.
Leeds were eliminated from the Carabao Cup last night by Stoke City on penalties. Having gone 2-0 down before half-time, they managed to get the game back to 2-2 with goals from Eddie Nketiah and Helder Costa.
However, their attempts to complete the comeback fell just short as Jack Harrison missed the final spot-kick to send the Potters through.
Speaking after the game, Bielsa said that “being eliminated is disappointing”, although it turned out a lot of Leeds fans didn’t exactly share the boss’s sentiment. In fact, the vast majority of them were glad that their cup run is over, as it meant they can now focus more on the league campaign.
No- the less Cup games this season the better. One goal.

I’m not interested in any tin pot cup with the thin squad we have and the injuries we pick up the less games the better promotion is the be all and end all Of this season MOT

Focus is on the promotion push as champions hence the team chosen tonight rested a number of key players. The team did not disgrace itself and both Costa and Nketiah will get a run in the 1st eleven at some point. Swansea next up and a win could see us 3 points clear.

I'm totally chilled about being kicked out of the cup dont want cup games to interfere with our progress in the league I'd rather be and winning league games then winning Cup games aswell I'd take a league win to a cup knockout win any day of the week for sure ????❤️????❤️

Best thing that could of happened to us less games is way better for us with a thin squad promotion is priority for us nice to see Eddie and Costa on the score sheet let’s step it up a gear against Swansea and send a message out to the league MOT

I wonder if they’ll be taking the same attitude when the FA Cup rolls around in the new year?
