Plenty of Leeds United fans were overjoyed about their side’s promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years last night.
Huddersfield Town’s 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion secured the Whites’ long-awaited return to England’stop flight, which prompted many messages of congratulations, one of which was from James Milner.
The academy graduate posted on his official Twitter account that the club is back where it belongs after a long absence from the Premier League, which fans responded by pleading with him to return to Elland Road.
Should Leeds do all they can to bring James Milner home?
Yes
No
The 34-year-old, who has won the Champions League with Liverpool and the Premier League for both his club and Manchester City, started at Leeds as a youngster and scored five goals from 50 appearances for the North Yorkshire outfit.
Unsurprisingly, supporters flocked to Milner’s post and made their feelings clear about what he should do next. One fan said to him it is “time to come home”, while another urged him to “do the right thing”.
