Back in the summer, Leeds were still looking for a new manager but, gradually, it became clear that Marcelo Bielsa was the man we wanted.
It stretched out, of course, and at times it looked as though we were not going to get him but we managed to appoint him and since he has been excellent.
We’re playing brilliant attacking football and in no game so far have I felt we’ve been outplayed – more losing thanks to our own mistakes.
We’re looking good, then, and it reminds me of Ian Holloway’s comments right at the start of the campaign.
He said that Bielsa was “the business” and he also labelled him a “genius” which just goes to show you how right Holloway has been.
I’d never thought I’d say that about the former Blackpool man because he is crackers but, to this day, he’s been proven bang on in this regard.
