Well, it is a Throwback Thursday.
Given that this week has seen the start of the Champions League group stage, it’s really only fitting that we get a chance to reminisce about the days that Leeds United were in the competition.
Today marks the 19th anniversary of one of the more memorable occasions at Elland Road, the night we beat A.C Milan 1-0 on what was, let’s just say, not the driest of nights that West Yorkshire has ever seen.
And it was quite possibly the heavy rain that was responsible for the winner that night, when a Lee Bowyer effort from distance managed to squirm its way through the hands of Dida to score the only goal of the night. Leeds would go on to make the semi-finals that year and would mark a real high point in the club’s history, before things started to go south pretty soon afterwards.
So when Sporting Life put up a video to reminisce about the goal, Leeds fans were rather quick to jump on it and give their memories of that night at Elland Road.
Amazing night. We couldn't break down AC Milan and needed a bit of luck. Played incredibly well despite all the injuries we had

And Man City were relegated to league one team, people can’t predict what can happen, who’d have thought nearly 20 years later we’d be in second division and they’d be dominating the PL

What a night. Those CL games were really special, even the ones we didn't win I really enjoyed. Hopefully they're something we can have again in the future!

I wonder how long we’re going to have to wait until we get European football back with us again?
