I’m going to say something potentially divisive now: Kemar Roofe is a good player.

Now, I know some will be thinking that I’m jumping on the bandwagon somewhat after his performance at the weekend against Barnsley but that only showed what he can do on form.

Rightly, he has been criticised for performances this season but most of our team have been poor at one point or another and, in truth, he’s actually been one of those players that have also regularly done well.

Indeed, we’ve seen him be the best performer on a number of occasions this year and that has been reflected by these stats from LUFC DATA on Twitter:

The Verdict

I think Roofe deserves more credit than he gets.

Yes, he needs to be more consistent but he’s got the skill set to really cause havoc when he does get on a long run of form.

Pablo has been our best player this campaign but I do think that Roofe has been one of the brighter sparks this year too.

Simply, then, those that absolutely hammer him need to get off of his back.

Thoughts, Whites? Let me know!
