Lots of Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media after the club announced that Jack Jenkins has agreed to a new, long-term contract.

The 18-year-old put pen to paper on his first professional terms with United back in January, and has now agreed on an extension which will keep the midfielder at Elland Road until the summer of 2023.

In signing a new deal, Jenkins becomes the latest youth prospect to commit their future to the club, after Under 23 players Pascal Struijk, Bryce Hosannah and Kun Temenuzhkov recently agreed to new contracts.

Jenkins has been making frequent outings in our youth ranks this season, with Carlos Corberan calling on his services for eight U23 fixtures along with the teenager making five appearances in the U18s.

The central midfielder is highly-rated by club figures, who presented Jenkins with the new terms as a reward for a good run of form at Thorp Arch.
