An England shirt worn by Don Revie has been stolen as Elland Road suffered a break-in on Saturday night.

The shirt, worn by Revie for England’s game against Ireland in the 1954/55 season, had been hung in the West Stand’s main reception area, and the club are appealing for any information that could lead to its recovery.

The message on leedsunited.com reads:

“The shirt is both priceless and irreplaceable and we would appeal to anyone who either knows its whereabouts, or is offered the chance to buy the shirt, to please contact Colin Lockwood on 0113 367 6129.”
