By the looks of things, the Marcelo Bielsa cull is yet to have finished and the next exits could well involve Eunan O’Kane and Caleb Ekuban.

When the Argentinian arrived he made it clear that a serious clear-out was on the menu.

Indeed, he said the Leeds squad needed to lose 15 players and so far we have lost close to that this summer.

According to Phil Hay, then, O’Kane and Ekuban seem to be potentially next after being told that they can go after a fan asked about them:

This would make sense as well.

O’Kane has been slated for a while by our fans and looks well down the pecking order with him training with the U23 side this summer.

Ekuban, meanwhile, for as nice a guy he seems to be, is not a good enough striker at this level and despite our shortage of options up top it makes sense that he is moved on.

The question is; who will take them?

  • It’s okay losing 15 but we only have 5 to replace them and 3 of these are loanees. Why not buy Klose from Norwich at CB and Woods at Midfield ….10 million for two solid players .This along with the Nmecha loan gives the squad depth and when Forshaw is fit again a real solid midfield and defence to mount a challenge ,and allow Saiz ,Hernandez and Bamford time up front. Our squad is still not ready.
