As the month of May drew to a close amid almost endless Marcelo Bielsa speculation and his future at Leeds United, two reports gave fans significant hope that our Argentine genius was ready to stay and was already preparing for the coming 2019/20 Championship campaign and those reports were further changes at the training ground, as well as the potential sale of 22-year-old Yosuke Ideguchi.
With the original report claiming that Bielsa had ‘greenlighted’ the sale of the Japanese player, on Monday the Yorkshire Evening Post stated that following his £500,000 arrival from Gamba Osaka 18 months ago, we were now in negotiations with them over a return.
Injuries have certainly hampered him in recent times but he didn’t exactly shine during his loan spells away from the club when he was fit, so a move is in everyone’s best interests even if we have to take a hit on his original transfer fee.
Some gambles in football just don’t come off, and sadly for us, this was one of them.
Gotta feel for the lad, we haven’t half stalled his career

The club really let this lad down!

He looks a real talent, and once he's got past his injury and learned English he could be one we later regret losing.

Probably makes sense for all parties at this point. Feel sorry for the bloke, hope it works out for him going forward.

Feel for the lad & felt like he got a raw deal! Phil hope this is a straight sale & not another loan ! Hopefully we can have clearance sale on all surplus squad to free up wages budget & avoid selling 1st team squad players #lufc

Shame we never got to develop & see his potential.

Always wanted him to get a chance and do well. But if MB isn't interested then need to get rid and free up money. Hope he gets his football back on track though.
