With former Real Madrid goalkeeper Kiko Casilla not having had the best of games against Ipswich Town as we brought the curtain down on the regular Championship campaign in 2018/19, his performances have come a lot more under the spotlight in recent times.
It’s not just pundits and the press talking about the 32-year-old Spanish goalkeeper, plenty of fans are as well, and in recent times on social media, there is a groundswell of supporters who feel that it’s time that manager Marcelo Bielsa brought Bailey Peacock-Farrell back into the side given Casilla’s wobbles.
Despite losing his place and facing plenty of criticism of his own given the 22-year-old Academy product is still developing his overall game, he did keep ten clean sheets in 29 matches prior to Casilla’s arrival and he’s played his own part in our promotion hopes this year.
I can understand the calls, especially after Ipswich, but I certainly don’t see Bielsa making the switch unless he’s forced to as given the pressure on the Play-Off games with Derby County, Casilla’s experience in the game should come to the fore.
With plenty backing Casilla for that very reason, I’d expect him to be in for all three.
Casilla. Should be peacock Farrell

I think people are forgetting that Leeds’ season also took a significant dip when BPF was dropped for a real madrid superstar. Or is it just me ????????♂️ #lufc

Kiko isnt good at all. Bailey is young and will improve with game time

Can't help thinking that things started to go wrong when calamity kiko showed up. BPF should be number 1.

Bring back Peacock-Farrell. Dropping him has ruined our season

Just gonna put this out there I think Casilla is not all that and I'd prefer peacock Farrell in goal, since he has arrived we've lost 9 games
