With Leeds United fans being well aware of the departure of much loved centre-half Pontus Jansson this week to fellow Championship side Brentford, the big question for many now is who should we target to fill the gap.
“He’d Be Our Van Dijk” “Easily One Of The Best” – These Leeds Fans Name Perfect Pontus Replacement
One strong initial favourite was 2018/19’s Sheffield Wednesday loanee Michael Hector given his performances, especially under Steve Bruce in the second half of the campaign but some doubted whether Frank Lampard would deal with us after Spygate, although plenty of others wondered how many decisions he’d actually be in charge of at Stamford Bridge.
There are other options though as some even have a preference for us to make a statement signing in the shape of Gary Cahill, but I certainly can’t see that given the wages he’d be likely to demand and in some senses, with there being more of a wage bill feeling to his departure, and not the claimed Financial Fair Play element, that would surely rule out such a significant capture.
Gary cahill's a free agent isn't he? Possibly couldn't match his wages but worth a shout.

Some interesting suggestions, but equally there were some who wondered if he’d even be replaced given we’ve already seen Ben White arrive on loan from Brighton.
For £4million. I’m sure we can sign some right blockbusters. Tyrone Mings left arm maybe.

He wont replace him

Pascal Stuijk was bought for the development squad and I think he might well get his chance this year. I think he was ranked above Halme which is why he was sold. Then get someone like Flint in#LUFC #MOT

I would sign mangala from city. I know he hasn't been the best over the last couple of seasons but step down into the championship and give it ago
