With all eyes on Leeds United’s Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday, ahead of the game the club confirmed the news most of us had been expecting – Mats Klich has now penned a new four and a half year deal with us.
The 29-year-old made the switch from FC Twente back in the summer of 2017, and he’s become a key player for manager Marcelo Bielsa, starting every league match since the Argentine arrived at the club. With 75 appearances to his name to date, the 22 capped Poland international, will add plenty more to that tally given the length of his new deal and most fans – despite some mixed form from him this year – will be utterly delighted to put the speculation of a potential departure to bed.

Fantastic news to start the day, and given the performance, especially Patrick Bamford after his recent struggles, it was almost the perfect weekend as we now go into another international lull.
Shame he couldn’t celebrate it with the goal many called for.
Thanks palâ¤ď¸

4 and a half years of a midfielder who will give 110%. Sure he has quiet games but he's still a great player. And he's going to score a 20 yard screamer today. …
