Another bank holiday is upon us and it’s going to be interesting to see if the Whites surprise us with an early transfer deal.
We’ve seen plenty of rumours floating around in recent weeks but apart from that there’s not really been any movement since.
Indeed, everything seems to be on hold until the final games of the campaign are played this weekend in terms of the play-offs so maybe after that more action will take place.
Lee Sobot, then, is cementing that theory, too, with him posting this update ahead of the long weekend:
Nothing much to add on signings latest yet. Club obviously looking to sign Abel Hernandez, Kyle Bartley and Angus Gunn. There are other options too. Will do some more chasing/digging and will post with any updates. Not expecting anything imminently i.e today/weekend. #lufc

It’s largely as you were, then, so let’s take a look at the reaction to this update from our fans on Twitter:
Bank Holiday Lee. Take it easy. The twitter bloodhounds might find something more useful to do with their time.

Listen Lee, the ITK’s said there was a signing today, so I don’t understand this tweet.

The Verdict
Hernandez, Gunn and Bartley seem to be the most prominent deals at the moment and that does make sense.
The three would all improve our first team greatly and down the spine, too, which is in need of some serious work.
We’re excited by the prospect of them coming in, of course, but it looks as though we’ll have to hold fire on any welcoming party for now.
Have a good bank holiday one and all!
