It is getting rather frustrating isn’t it?
Leeds United have done it again, squandering a late lead in a game in which they dominated in terms of statistics but just couldn’t quite put the game away. Amongst the players feeling the frustration was midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
Speaking to the club’s official channel after the game, Phillips said:
‘I feel we deserved more than the point that we got after being on top for 85-90 minutes, but it’s something we need to work on, conceding so many goals late on. They came to be happy with a point and I feel that frustrates us, we want teams to come at us’
However, those sentiments weren’t being shared by some members of the Leeds United fan base. It seems as if they aren’t putting the blame on the opposing team, but rather placing the blame with themselves.
NO, Kalvin they had no place on that pitch we stopped playing and let them score its that simple !

Get used to it. You'll be facing that 19 more times this season. Need to start getting that ball in the net, quickly.

Frustrate us? ???? we don’t need anyone else to do that we do it ourselves

Kalvin, the only thing that’s frustrating is bamford’s inability to hit the target and Harrison’s inability to do anything

Excuses, time for Bielsa to mix it up now, that starting 11 isn’t good enough to take us up we see it every week, swap a few about, but what’s the odds it will be the same 11 starting the next game ????

That's no excuse, we've enough in our locker. It's game management that's the issue.

No Kalvin, we need to work on taking our chances. If we had taken even 30% of our chances this season we would be on maximum points

Then start taking our clear chances and we’ll win comfortably then!

I must say, there is only so many times you can concede a late goal, like Nottingham Forest and Swansea City before this game, until you have to start wondering if it’s your problem rather than blaming someone else.
