Sweet Second Halves – Leeds Stage A Great Comeback – Match Stats

|

With a couple of late incomings for Leeds United, we went into tonight’s clash with Millwall at Elland Road with some confidence of getting back to winning ways in the Championship after our more recent slip-ups.

Sadly that wasn’t the case as it took the visitors only four minutes to open the scoring and fans could be forgiven for thinking it was going to be another one of those nights – especially when the second went in via the penalty spot in minute 23 after Ezgjan Alioski fouled Jon Dadi Bodvarsson in the penalty box.

And typically, we were otherwise on top!

Second half we got our act into gear and having made it a one goal game just after the restart, Patrick Bamford helped himself to a brace, and with Pablo Hernandez also getting on the scoresheet 3-2 took us into the final 20 odd minutes.

We held out to take the win and all three points and once again return to the top of the table, with West Bromwich Albion failing to rectify their form!
