On Tuesday evening, Leeds United welcomed Hull City to Elland Road for our midweek Championship encounter and whilst you can hardly call it a barnstormer, all that manager Marcelo Bielsa will care about is we took all three points to temporarily return to the top of the second tier table.
After a goalless first half where we failed to get a shot on target, a credited de Wijs own goal in the 73rd minute got us on our way, and Ezgjan Alioski made it two from two in the 82nd minute to tie up the win.
Not a classic, but statistics website Whoscored more than edged the game in our favour with the player ratings, and despite only facing two shots on target, goalkeeper Kiko Casilla took their star man score of 7.61 for Man of the Match.
Completing the top five on the day in their system were Pablo Hernandez (7.58), Luke Ayling (7.56), Kalvin Phillips (7.55) and Patrick Bamford (7.47).
Also receiving seven plus scores were Ezjgan Alioski, Stuart Dallas, Ben White and Gaetano Berardi.
All eyes to what West Brom do now.
