Vital Leeds United congratulates Stoke City for their promotion, as it means the Elland Road club make more money out of Richard Cresswell’s transfer!
Stoke’s 0-0 draw with League One bound Leicester City means that they now owe £200,000 to Leeds United as part of the deal that saw Richard Cresswell depart the Elland Road club.
Leeds Chairman Ken Bates told Yorkshire Radio:
“I’m pleased for Stoke and I wish them well.
“When they took Richard Cresswell we were on a bonus if they got promotion so we’re delighted.”
Cresswell managed just 12 goals in 46 appearances for the Staffordshire side this season.
